I attended the sale for the first time as I was expecting my first little boy and was blown away by all the great deals I got. I didn’t have a lot of money to spend and really I didn’t need a lot once I found a bunch of stuff I needed and with the cheap prices, I came out of there proud of my purchases. I told some expecting friends of mine and they went to the next sale and couldn’t believe what I was telling them about the sale was actually true—they stocked up on plenty as well. We all definitely recommend this sale to everybody we come in contact with that is expecting or has a younger one and will definitely be attending all the sales close to our area anytime there is one. Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend such a great event.

1st time mom and now a proud shopper of JBF,

THANK YOU Shannon and Daven for creating JBF! I found out about the sale – by chance!!! – just before I got pregnant with my first boy. Now, 3 years later, I can say that I have SAVED THOUSANDS of dollars on all of the stuff babies and growing kids need. Also, since I have sisters (with kids) who live in other states (where, sadly, there is no JBF sale), you can generally find me on my cell phone (in the midst of all the racks) asking them what size shoes/clothes they’re kids wear, what toys they’re into, etc. and I’ll pick it up at the sale, mail it to them and STILL save a bunch.

I encourage all moms (and dad and grandparents) out there to volunteer! Not only do you get to meet some great people, shop early for the BEST selection, but you are helping ensure that the JBF sale continues! I have volunteered for every sale I’ve attended, so I don’t really know any other way to go. I can say that it is not a “chore”, but rather something I look forward to. It also is a great excuse to leave the kids with the husband!

Also, I especially appreciate how “selective” JBF is with what they allow in the sale. They have set a standard of good quality, fair pricing and guaranteed great buys for all shoppers!

I am constantly talking about this sale to new moms and all of my friends! I wish I had a nickel for every time I referred someone! J

Thanks again, JBF, for creating this sale for all of us moms out there who love a GOOD DEAL!

I am a huge fan of JBF! I believe this is my 3rd consecutive year to do this, with huge success every time. What I particularly like about the Tulsa event is that it runs for 9 days. The sheer exposure of my items (for this length of time) is why I think I sell about 90% of my items (along with the huge number of people that come to shop the Tulsa event.) (The radio spots help as well.) Also, thankyou for limiting the number of consignors. My percentage rate was even higher this past spring. The racks weren't as "crammed." Because of this, shoppers were less likely to give up from being tired and frustrated. Thankyou for this event! I plan on doing this every season. The money I make from this sale allows me to purchase name brand clothing that my children can wear now, and then I can resale the items the following year!

I have been a consignor for a while now. I love getting all my stuff ready to sell. I love to buy other people’s stuff as well. But, so far, the best thing that this sale has come up with is the merchandise template. I don’t know who thought of this or created it, but you get a gold star in my book. That has taken hours off of my prep time and more time to my kids. I absolutely love it. Thank you again. I am ready to shop. Where are the deals?!

I first attended a JBF sale in the spring of 2004. I was pregnant with my second son and was due in 4 weeks and had NOTHING for him to wear. Not only that but it was beginning to warm up and I had nothing to wear as well. I was absolutely amazed at the selection of clothing! There was adorable maternity clothing! The stuff I bought for my 2 boys were in great condition. I was thrilled when I got home with my findings. I still got great stuff even after the workers got to shop.

In the Fall of 2004, I decided to be a consigner and a worker. It was a great experience. Daven was a blast to work with and to talk to. My 5 hours that I spent working with her went by SO fast. It was worth it too! I got adorable stuff from the worker pre-sale. I had spent $40 just a week before the sale on a pair of Nike Shox for my oldest and found a pair his size for 3 dollars! AMAZING! I did outstanding on my end as a consigner! What I spent at the sale was just over half of what I made selling. It's almost like exchanging your kids clothes that they have out grown for new stuff and making money at the same time! Best part is, I spent about 200 and both of them had their closets full of cute clothes!

I am consigning and have recently completed 10 of my 12 hours for my worker pre sale pass. I had a blast at Daven's and Shannon's! It's not often I get to meet new people. These moms that help out at the sales are so sweet. I am So very pleased that you have set up JBF in Tulsa for all us moms looking for adorable clothes at awesome prices! Thank you ever so much.

I first saw an ad in the Tulsa World (as I was an avid garage saler - note: was!) in the fall of 1998. When later that weekend I saw an a-frame plywood sign with the same title, "Just Between Friends" as the ad, my curiousity was peeked. I mentioned the relationship to my husband and we agreed that a consignment shop must be going out of business or something of similar nature. Later the next day, I followed the directions to a home with my then 5 year old and 6 month old baby in tow. As I walked up to the driveway a beautiful, vibrant lady with a dentist dream smile asked me if I would like to be on their mailing list. I thought she had been in the sun a little too long because I had not once been to a garage sale that put me on a mailing list. But she was not a telemarketer, but rather a proverbs 31 woman who pointed me to her proverbs 31 partner to "sign me up". I purchased one item that day. It was the end of the "3 day" sale, on a Saturday, already well into the evening. I paid about $5 for an outstanding brand new condition Christian Dior boys dress suit w/shirt. I could not have imagined what jbf would do for me and my family and how it would grow to what it is today either! My entreprenuer firstborn was six that next spring and he worked the sale with me at the church building. He has always been business minded and was already bagging and asking customers if they wanted their hangars at that tender age. He has worked every sale since. I can't not work the sale even when I barter because he loves to work the sale. Most importantly, I have had two more children since (now 12, 7, 5, and 2 - we finally got a girl!) and jbf has been so critical to my family's financial ability to provide infant necessities, clothing, and desires of our children's hearts, that I have been known to work the sale after working all night, and was shopping three days after my daughter's and working 5 days after her birth. It was necessary. Neither Shannon nor Daven know me other than as a "consignor/friend" for the past six years and neither know of the times I have been brought to tears of thankfulness when leaving a sale for the ability to provide for our children what I otherwise could not. I remember when I shopped one of the earlier sales and thought $75 was "breaking the bank", now it's not unusal for me to spend $350-650. . .and my sales (reimbursement? :) ) check is always close to the same. Who would have imagined a business that could bring a family's clothes and educational/fun toy budget almost to $0, and have them looking "first class"? Daven and Shannon that's who! Thanks ladies! and Thanks be to God!!

I first went to one of your sales 3 years ago when I was pregnant with my 1st son. I just couldn't believe the turn out. The clothes, the shoes, the toys, the EVERYTHING! Now, that I have 2 boys ages 2 1/2 yrs. and 13 months old, I look forward to what I can buy them at each sale! And I can't wait to sell my boys clothes. They grow SO fast! Thanks again and I will see ya in March!

Thanks, Lori Gammon

I just went to the August shopping "spree". WOW! what a wonderful event. I have so many clothes for my daughter that I don't know what she will wear first. Thank God for you guys. If it weren't for this sale I wouldn't have been able to afford many clothes. I have told all of my friends about you. Thanks!!

The Spring sale was the first one I went to. It was very impressive and I couldn't believe the deals! It really helped me save a lot since I have 3 to buy for. Thank you for starting this event. I hope that I will do well as a consignor this year.

Last fall I was introduced to JBF and was impressed with the organization as a customer. I was even more impressed as a seller for the Spring season. I made much more money than I ever could have made at a garage sale and the pre-sale was a blast! Myself and two of my friends did really well on our sales. I can hardly wait for the fall sale. I would recommend it to anyone shopping or consigning! Thanks so much for such a wonderful shopping and selling experience!

I have been consigning/shopping at JBF since I was pregnant with my first child in the Spring of 2000. Since then, I have volunteered, consigned, bartered and SHOPPED! JBF is the absolute best for clothes, toys, baby supplies, maternity wear (such a bargain for something you only wear a short time!) I look forward to every sale, and try to do my best to help in one way or another, so I can shop early! The worker shop day is the BEST! I never buy 'dressy-picture' clothes new for my son - I always wait for the JBF Sale, and I have never been disappointed. And the baby supplies - well, let's just say you could walk in newly pregnant, with nothing for the baby, and come out completely stocked. Thank you Shannon and Daven for taking this venture on, and for always doing such a great job! The sale wouldn't work without you. Can't wait for the fall sale - and I'm pregnant with #2!!!

It was probably five years ago when I went to my first JBF sale. I wasn't pregnant yet, but hoping to be soon. Since then I have had two children and JBF is the way to go to buy and sell clothing. I am both a consignor and worker. It is the two weeks out of the year I make sure I have baby-sitters for my children and I help at the sale. You meet some wonderful people, find great deals on toys and wonderful clothing. I usually break even, but it is worth it when my children have a closet full of clothing and it didn't cost an arm and leg. Thanks Shannon and Daven for such a wonderful experience every year.

I volunteered at the last Fall 2003 sale and had a lot of fun. It was neat seeing maybe 3 of my items go thru the checkout line in just the few hours I was there! I enjoy consigning and shopping even more!

I was so impressed at how organized and smoothe everything was at your last show. I had never been before. I sure wish I could have known about this before. I have about 5 people who plan on consigning with you in March. I am planning on volunteering too. It was neat, tidy and the staff was a great help. Being my first time they helped me out a lot.
Thanks again, hope to meet you in March.
Kind Regards

I was a little hesitant at first to take my items to such a large place with so many other peoples things and leave them. I did some research and heard nothing but good things, so I went for it. I made a personal list of all my items and the amount I had asked for them. After the sale was over I went and picked up all my left over items. I came home and marked off of my list what had sold, and did the math to see what my check would be. I was thrilled to see how much I had sold and what my profit was going to be. Then about 2 weeks later I got my check and it was for the EXACT amount I had calculated. There is NO better way to sell your baby and maternity items. I am so impressed. Thank-you ladies for all your hard work!! I know that the Lord will bless all your awesome efforts!

WOW! I just received my check and couldn't be more pleased (well, I could be more pleased if it were more :o), but I'm still very happy), this was my first time to be a consignor. I had the pleasure of shopping the presale since I signed up to work and that was great! I would also like to say that I enjoyed my experience being a worker and look forward to doing it again in the Spring. What a great idea Shannon and Daven have come up with, I sincerely hope only the best for them and their venture in the many years to come. I have recommended JBF to my friends and will continue to do so!

E-mail to Shannon after the sale was completed.

I have been sharing my shopping secrets with friends and family and I wanted to share it with you as well. In March, after the spring sale was over I took the check I received from the items I sold at JBF and took it to the bank (just like everyone else), but I asked for a money order in the same amount. I took that money order home and put it in my jewlery box. For this Fall sale I took my check, cashed it and was able to shop with out having to worry if I was spending too much (or with out having to get my husband's to pre-approved any money I might spend). I plan to continue to do the same sale after sale.

Thanks for working so hard to make a place to find great clothes and other items at a great price.

This will be the first time I have consigned with JBF (fall and winter 2003) and I am very excited about getting rid of my children's nice clothes and toys, while making money and shopping for clothes they can wear now. I do not like getting ready for garage sales because they are so much work and you hardly make anything. I am glad there is a company like JBF where I don't have to worry about people asking me if I will take half of what is on my price tag. At JBF we set the price with no worries.

I am a Creative Memories Consultant and two or three years ago while working the Home and Garden Show booth, I saw the signs at the fairgrounds and have been a faithful shopper ever since. I appreciate the organization, quality control, and awesome deals I am able to get.

I received a flyer left at the Koala Care on 76th and Sheridan where I work. One of my moms has shopped at JBF for her daughter and raved about it, so I thought I would give a try this year. I'm needing to get rid of my son's outgrown clothes, what a great way to do it instead of a garage sale.

Just Between Friends Consignment Sale is by far, the best way to benefit from outgrown baby and children's items and clothing. In a garage sale you can expect a couple of dollars. In a consignment shop you can expect to split the profit in half with the shop. But at JBF sales, you get 70% of the items, and you set the price. It also benefits a good cause; Emergency Infant Services. What better way to clear out those gently used items, benefit financially and help a good charity?
JBF is particular about the items they accept. So be sure they are clean, no stains or fading, no missing buttons, snaps or broken zippers and no outdated styles. If you plan to shop at JBF, you will appreciate their attentiveness.
I have consigned with JBF for two years, and have helped as a volunteer. Every time I receive my check, I am surprised!

I started coming to your sale 2 years ago when expecting my first son-I bought my first maternity clothes as well as his first outfits there. Now two sons later, I purchase a large portion of the next season's clothes for them at your sale. Now, I'm ready to get rid of all my maternity clothes! Yay! Look forward to my first consignor experience.

Just wanted to let you know that I participated in your sale on the advice of a friend, Julie Knight. I almost fell down when I got my check. It was more than double what I had hoped for! Thank you for putting together a high quality consignment sale.. I have told my neighbors and they are amazed. I will definitely be a return consignor. I sure wish that I had thought of the idea.

Thank you again,

I have been involved with JBF for the past 3 years as both a shopper and a consignor. I don't know which I enjoy the most -- shopping or consigning. By shopping, I can get great bargins on clothing, toys and furniture for my grandchildren. By consigning, I always earn more than I spend shopping, so it's like getting free clothes and extra money! There is no other sale in town were you can purchase good quality, name brand clothing at these prices. It also helps that it is done for spring and fall. No holding garage sales or taking items to consignment shops for me. JBF is the only way to go.

I started shopping JBF two years ago when I was 3 months pregnant with my daughter. WOW the maternity clothes I bought were great! Not to mention I found out about it on the day of half price sale! What a bargain! I hit the Sept. sale before my daughter was born in Oct., and was able to get all the things I didn't receive at showers for a great price. I go back every March and Sept. to buy my daughter's clothes for the season. Ladies, this is the only sale my husband says "Spend what you want! I know it is worth it." Thanks Shannon and Daven for the opportunity to buy and sell children's items at GREAT prices!

I first attended JBF consignments last fall and I was so thrilled to hear about a huge consignment, as the fall was quickly approaching. I am a fairly new mom and loved the nice, clean, slightly used items that I found there. Everything was so reasonable. I get excited every time JBF consignments approach. It is such a great, inexpensive way to get nice things for my daughter. I am now a consignor and am looking forward to this opportunity.

My first experience with Just Between Friends was when my oldest child was just 4 months old. I was on a very tight budget, I picked up just a few great toy buys...which all lasted for my second child to use. That next spring, I consigned his infant clothes and was hooked! Twice a year for the past 5 years, I have replaced my children's outgrown clothes and toys with new ones that fit! I would end up spending just a little more than I made back! Many times I was able to find coordinated outfits with items sold from different consigners and my children were dressed in top name clothing that would not have been a possibility if I were buying everything new.

As my scheduled permitted, I even took advantage of volunteering to work so I could shop earlier. It really has paid off on some big ticket toy items as well as kept my clothing budget very reasonable. This year getting my items ready has gotten easier with a little help from my five year old. Routinely I hear," Mom, This is too small....Where is the "SALE BOX." Now I just have to teach him to make tickets!

Here's to one of the best deals in Tulsa!

I have been shopping JBF for the past two years. I heard about it in
the Tulsa Kids Magazine and I am so glad! I now have four children 6
years and under, so I don't have time to shop several stores for each of
them. Coming to the Spring and Fall sales, I am usually able to get
80-90% of the things I need for each of them at great prices. I set a $
limit for each child, but am always surprised at how much I am able to
get for it! Last Spring was my first time to consign and my proceeds
covered more than half of the cost of my stuff (and I didn't consign too
many items)! Thanks, Shannon and Daven for all your hard work and your
great attitudes toward consignors and "just" customers, too!
